NOMAD Neuenheim in Heidelberg

So After visiting NOMAD in Neuenheim at least 20 times at different times of the day, I would say I can finally rate the Café. In terms of a coffee shop I would say it's one of the best in the city, not only do they offer many different ways you can get coffee brewed, if you want to drink the same coffee at home you can purchase bags of their beans. They also have different varieties of milks and milks substitutes if you want to have it with your coffee. From there if you also don't drink coffee they also offer choices for teas, hot chocolate, and other drinks like smoothies. For this current review I'm going over the meal that I had on Saturday for brunch. We didn't have reservations but we were able to get a table within 10 minutes as it was a busy day but the café was able to serve people quick and effortlessly. I ordered the latte and my wife order a chai tea to drink. I really enjoy the coffee that is served at NOMAD as they really do know how to brew their coffee. My wife's chai tea was excellent and that's coming from our experience of going to India and knowing what real chai tea taste like. From there I'll be going over the meals we ate. I order the BLT, which is reminds me of the sandwiches that my mother used to make for me, but my mother never made eggs as well as NOMAD does. The bacon was fresh and crunchy just how I like it, and the pesto sauce was excellent. My wife order Chocolate Date, which was basically like a smoothie bowl, sorry to simplify it to something it might not be but that's how I would describe it. The price of the meal is more than what you would pay for at a normal bakery but you can tell the food is made with love and an environmentally friendly thought process. For the english speakers out there it is also very english friendly location.

What is normal in these Cirona times? Nothing works without the involvement of the staff. Then the coffee is not so hot either ... still go there and support with sales ...

Amazing place for a delicious breakfast 🍳 , brunch or coffee in the sun. It’s great they offer lots of dishes in vegetarian or vegan option and they have drinks with oat and almond milk option. Great service and food quality!

Coffee is good, service is rather bad. No sugar brought to the coffee, not asked if everything fits and if you still want something (only 40 minutes later) and when serving, no mention of which cappuccino is with oat milk and which is with normal milk.

Stylish, instagrammable place with good vegan options and coffee. We tried the black croissant with almond ice (black beauty 8.5€) and the bread with beet root (baby I'm a star, 9.5€). Both dishes looked great and were tasty however on the higher end regarding the price / volume / taste. Service was very helpful and friendly, however did not know the ingredients to well regarding allergies. They do not take reservations and we waited a bit, and the waiting time was okay (Friday) and worth it. They have good coffee from Neues Schwarz one of the best coffee roasters in North-Rhine Westphalia.

The visit to Café NOMAD was extremely delicious and made you want more. However, the prices are really very good in terms of taste (5⭐️). What bothered me a bit that only card payments are accepted ... and the portion could be a little bigger. But all in all well worth a visit again

Mega delicious French toast, hope to have it again soon🥺 Pancakes also very tasty not too sweet as in other restaurants. Great food, tastes healthy, fresh and high quality. Tables are a bit small, but I don't care about the good food and as long as everything else fits!

We stayed here for four days in a row because our hotel did not offer a breakfast buffet. It tastes absolutely great, the ingredients are very high quality and healthy, the wait staff is very nice and fast. Absolute recommendation! (Be sure to try the banana bread!)

Had the vegan pancakes and the BLT slice. The pancakes were really good and juicy(not dry). The BLT sandwich was the best I have tasted. Perfect toasted bread, delicius eggs and avocado. Very popular so we had to wait 10 minutes, but really nice staff.

Café Nomad made us a delicious and extraordinary breakfast. We had vegan pancakes with fruit and maple sirup and poached eggs on spinach with a selfmade sauce hollandaise with bread. Both had a great taste. They had a cool "corona system" to order stuff with your own smartphone. Because of many people who sat there, it took a lot of time to get the drinks and food and for me it was a bit too loud, even if we sat outside, some people talked really loud. And maybe we were a bit too close together. In general a nice place to eat breakfast. Delicious, regional and creative.

Actually, the café has more potential. Homemade soda is good. In my bread dish, the mushrooms and the egg were too cold, the bread too hard, dry and carelessly placed on the plate. Tastes ok but could be fresher and juicier.

Unfortunately, I haven't made it to the Nomad in a while, but that will soon change! I always find the coffee really delicious, the food is exceptional, prepared with love and good ingredients and the staff is always friendly! And what I find particularly remarkable: despite the "not being able to reserve", you always get a place quickly and the employees really have an overview! I always like to come ❤️

The food looked delicious but the prices were extortionate. €9 for a bowl of cereal. And €4 for a 200ml juice.

We had a one day stopover in Heidelberg so thought we’d try NOMAD for breakfast. We both had orange juice & coffee as well as the NOMAD BLT breakfast. The coffee was strong and the orange juice was slightly tart and not too sweet. The BLT was absolutely delicious. We wanted a breakfast that would set us up for the day and it certainly did that. Highly recommended.

Fortunately, we arrived on time this morning, otherwise you should make a reservation at the Super 👍 Café otherwise you will be in line for a few minutes. Before I mention breakfast, I first have to give the service 🤵 a 1+ with an extra star ⭐️ here. We sat outside and a person from the service was also there the whole time and stood by the tables to see if anyone had a request. Ordering a second coffee ☕️ was also easier. I haven't seen that so often at a café! The breakfast was very good, the bread 🥖 was delicious and coated with green pest. There was also pancake 🥞 but I only saw them at the next table 😉

Coffee is great but food is average. Indoor seating is NOT suitable by COVID standards as the tables are really close to each other and guests are not distanced from each other by any means.

Very tasty breakfast! The country sandwiches were fantastic. The bowl for € 10.50 was unfortunately too little for such a price. Even if it was explained to us in a very friendly manner what the price is made up of, I expect a breakfast for 10.50 € that will at least approximately fill me, or I will be advised of the significantly small amount.

Very nice people and great atmosphere. Apart from that, the coffee tastes great and so do the juices. Thank you for the nice and fast service.

Reservations are compulsory on this Sunday morning - Café Nomad in Heidelberg-Neuenheim is rightly very popular. The highly committed and friendly team manages the rush even in times of pandemic, and we can order a little later. There is no special brunch offer, and it doesn't need to be: All dishes on the small but fine menu are suitable for brunch. We order the "Nomad BLT" (with organic bacon, two fried eggs and Kasundi mayonnaise) and "Eggs Benedict" (two poached eggs, salmon and hollandaise sauce), accompanied by a sensational coffee and delicious fruit and vegetable smoothie. A pleasure all along the line.

Alright, it gives you the feeling of sitting Berlin or Dresden, but the prices are just way to high for what you get. Coffee is great in all forms. Food is just average but trys to be hip by adding acai or homemade granola.

Outstanding breakfast! Not cheap, but worth every penny. The service was always friendly and competent. Absolute recommendation!

NOMAD is a small cozy shop. The best way to get there is on foot or by bike, as parking is difficult. The menu is clear, but it focuses on taste. The food tasted great to me, my wife and me.

An absolute asset to this wonderful district. Very honest and consistent form of gastronomy. Attitude towards the product, the processing and an extremely authentic appearance of the entire team. Host quality and conception close to feasible perfection. Chapeau, because I know what's behind it!

Long wait but you should call for a reservation.

Cake was nice, coffee was cold. I took my coffee back inside and asked for a hot one. I was brought another cold one. Edit: Asked for more detail, three months later: I was served by the (male) barista, not a waitress. I did not approve of my replacement coffee and I didn't have the time or spirit to request and wait for a third cold coffee. The service was slow and unfriendly. Much like the reply to this review.

OMG, the best cappuccino I’ve had in Germany!! I ordered a second just to savour another cup. The breakfast dishes are unlike any other cafe I’ve ever eaten at. Healthy, delicious, imaginative. You have to arrive early on a weekend; there is a wait after 1030 - but it’s worth it!!!

Truly a great coffee experience, baristas know what they're doing. Food experience was superb, great portions and great healthy choices. Worth a visit.
